Russian Helicopters has announced that it intends to set up a helicopter assembly plant in Iran.
The company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on potential cooperation with the state-owned Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), as part of a program to modernise Iran’s helicopter fleet.
The joint plant in Iran would assembly Russian Ansat or Ka-226T (pictured) light helicopters.
