France’s imports from Iran have increased 45-fold over the past year, according to a report from Tehran Times.
Eurostat data shows an rise from €30 million in 2015 to €1.348 billion in 2016, with France’s exports to Iran up 28 percent from €592 million in 2015 to €722 million in 2016.
A further strengthening of business ties was agreed at forum in Tehran last month, which included agreements on developing Mashhad International Airport, establishing a bioethanol plant, expanding fish farms, and holding pilot training courses in Iran.
