Foreign Minister Javad Zarif (pictured) has confirmed that Tehran will no longer issue visas to U.S. citizens, following US President Donald Trump’s 90-day ban on Iranian citizens entering the United States.
But according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, he also said exceptions to the ban were possible and specific cases would be reviewed by a committee from the foreign ministry.
Tasnim News Agency quotess the Minister as saying
“While respecting the American people and distinguishing between them and the hostile policies of the US government, Iran will implement the principle of reciprocity until the offensive U.S. limitations against Iranian nationals are lifted.”
