Germany’s Linde in Iran Petrochemical Deal

Iran’s Kian Petrochemical Company is to sign a complementary contract with Germany’s Linde Group.

Managing Director of Kian Petrochemical Company Mohammad-Sadeq Fazeli made the remark in an interview with Shana on the sidelines of ceremony to sign a contract with the company.

Fazeli said, “After one and half years of talks with many companies, we reached agreement with German Linde at last. Complementary agreement with the German Company will be signed in the future.”

He said the contract concerns olefin 12 and aromatic 5. “The contract includes import of technical know-how for four units in accordance with the principled engineering for four integrative units.”

Fazeli said the contract also consists part of the detailed engineering for main and late delivered equipment.

He expressed hope that soon after enforcement of the contract, his company will sign EPC contract, including full detailed engineering, purchase of the equipment for installation and operation with Linde Company.

Iran’s Kian Petrochemical Company has signed a FEED (Front End Engineering Design) deal with Germany’s Linde Group for obtaining technical savvy for the construction of an olefin, butadiene, hydrodealkylation and benzene unit.

The deal was signed on Tuesday in a ceremony held in the presence of Marziyeh Shahdaei, deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs and head of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), and some of the Linde executives.

The 12-month deal has been signed with €34.940m of financial credit.
