Iran is said to be interested in investing in wind power in Armenia.
According to a report from Asbarez, Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Yolyan (pictured) was informed of an Iranian plan to construct 50MW wind power plants in Armenia while on a visit to Tehran this week.
During his visit, he met with Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri, Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian, Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh, and Minister of Industries and Business Mohammadreza Nematzadeh.
The meetings also touched upon the 3rd Iran-Armenia high voltage power transmission line, and the “gasification” projects of Meghri and Agarak.
