Iran’s Minister for Petroleum has suggested that Germany’s Siemens could set up joint ventures with Iranian companies to supply products to the Middle East and Central Asia.
Bijan Zangeneh told the President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens AG, Joe Kaeser, who was visiting Tehran on Monday:
‘Siemens can manufacture joint products in Iran that carry the companies brand and could be exported to the regional countries, including Iraq, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and other central Asian nations.”
Following the lifting of some sanctions, Siemens has reportedly released equipment purchased by Iran for the development of the South Pars fields.
