The Iran National Carpet Center (INCC) and the China Tibetan Carpet Association (CTCA) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation in the carpet industry.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the deal was signed following a meeting attended by the heads of INCC and Carpet Museum of Iran and a number of CTCA members in which both sides pointed to the need to boost cooperation and cultural exchange.
The Head of the INCC, Hamid Kargar, highlighted the age-old history and reputation of hand-woven Persian carpets and said the carpet industry can provide a good impetus for cultural interactions and better understanding between the two peoples.
