Export Development Bank of Iran Joins ADFIAP

The Export Development Bank of Iran, as a bank specialized in financing and facilitating the exports, has become a member of Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP).

ADFIAP is the goal of the development banks and other financial institutions active in the field of financing development in Asia and the Pacific, and Export Development Bank of Iran’s membership has an important role in increasing the bank’s international communication and interaction: Hosseini Consulting Director of the Bank said.

ADFIAP is an NGO founded in 1976 with the aim of achieving sustainable development which right now 131 institutions from 45 countries are its members, he added.

Other members include Asian Development Bank, Indian and Malaysian Exim Banks, Export Credit Guarantee Agency of Oman (SAOC), Philippine Export-Import Credit Agency, and the Institute for Export Insurance and Financing of Australia, Hosseini noted.

The main mission of this institution is to accelerate sustainable development by strengthening the performance of financial development institutions, to increase the capacity of its members and to support the innovations of financial development.

ADFIAP offers a variety of vocational training courses, consulting services and technical reports from services that it provides for the members.
