The Council of Ministers has agreed an investment by the Iranian Industrial Development and Renovation Organisation (IDRO) in paper production from calcium carbonate in the city of Kharameh.
According to a statement from the Office of the Iranian President, the project, with a production capacity of 20,000 tonnes of calcium carbonate per year, will have positive environmental impacts and prevent excessive logging.
It is also possible to supply all the raw material needed for this project from different parts of the country.
