Gazprom Neft Presents Oilfields Studies to NIOC

Russia’s Gazprom Neft has submitted the result of its studies on Iran’s Changouleh and Cheshmeh Khosh oilfields to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

Officials from the company presented the studies to the NIOC at a meeting with Gholamreza Manouchehri, deputy for development and engineering of the company, and senior executives from the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) on Tuesday.

Gazprom Neft on December 13 2015 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NIOC for carrying out studies on the two oilfields.

Iran and Russia have signed a cooperation roadmap based on which workshops will be held in the two countries on enhanced oil recovery and maximization of oil production from oilfields.

Amir Hossein Zamaninia, deputy petroleum minister for international affairs and trading, hosted a meeting with the Russian company’s officials including Vladislav Baryshnikov, Gazprom Neft’s deputy general director, in his Tehran office on Monday.

Gazprom Neft is the fourth largest oil producer in Russia and ranked third according to refining throughput.

It is a subsidiary of Gazprom, which owns about 96% of its shares. The company is registered and headquartered in St. Petersburg after central offices were relocated from Moscow in 2011.
