Iran Khodro Kermanshah Launched

Iran Khodro Kermanshah Company with a nominal capacity of 30,000 units per annum and two working shifts launched in the presence of the first Vice President, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, the Company’s CEO and a group of senior managers of Iran Khodro Industrial Group.

The site is supposed to give a hand in boosting export volume of the mother company, IKCO.

In the first phase and in a single working shift, the annual production of 15,000 sets of Peugeot Pars is targeted; however the figure will increase by over 30,000 units, should the site run in two working shifts.

The executive procedures and operations had started in 2015, while the entire process of designing, manufacturing and installing the equipment were carried out without the help of foreign consultants, on the contrary with the efforts of engineers of IKCO and TAM.

During the inauguration ceremony, Vice-President Ishaq Jahangiri referred to automotive industry as one of the most important industries and emphasized, “We need to pay more attention to the pioneer industries, leading them to boost production; this will also drive the supply chain of these industries forward with better job opportunities.”

The first Vice President also said that the automotive industry of the country has taken long steps, claiming that the establishment of a joint venture company between an Iranian company and an international one was very positive, showing the industrialization in Iran’s automotive industry has triggered.
