Iran launched five gas pressure station facilities on Thursday in order to boost its gas delivery capacity by 50 million cubic meters.
The facilities are located in Khonj, Jahrom, Safa Shahr, Naein and Kashan.
Each of the facilities are equipped with 4 25-megawatt turbo-compressors which were installed within a period of 30 months with IRR11,600b of investment.
The projects were all carried out by Iranian developers, with the turbo-compressors built by Iranian manufacturers.
Once operational, the five stations will bring the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC)‘s gas delivery capacity to 110 mcm/d from currently 60 mcm/d.
