Japanese Steel Company considers Chabahar Port

A Japanese company has reportedly signed an agreement to study steel production in at Chabahar port.

Mehdi Karbasian, of Iran’s Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO), said that Sojitz Corporation would present its findings to IDRO by September.

A final agreement on production of steel sheets would be expected to follow within two months.

According to the report from Trade Arabia, another Japanese company, Kobelco, is developing the Mokran Steel Complex in Chabahar.
