Iran to spend $3bn on Renewable Energy

Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian (pictured) has said that Iran plans to invest $3 billion in renewable energy power plants.

Speaking at a ceremony to launch three 7-megawatt solar power plants in Hamedan, he said 5,000 megawatts of renewable power would be created during the sixth Five-Year Development Plan.
