Maersk Expands Operations in Iran

By John Lee.

Denmark’s Maersk Line is to operate from a second port in Iran, less than three months after it resumed services to the country following the lifting of sanctions.

The company pulled out of Iran in 2012, but having resumed services at Bandar Abbas in October, it has just added the port of Bushehr to its coverage.

According to a statement from the company, Bushehr was chosen largely because of its ability to handle refrigerated products.
