India’s Swan Energy has signed a MoU with Petronasr and Alpha Energy for the development of Iran’s 20 trillion ft³ Sephied Baghun gas field.
According to the report from Natural Gas World, the project comprises the construction of on-shore surface facilities and offshore gas liquefaction facilities at an estimated cost of around $615 million.
Swan Energy has the option to acquire an equity stake in the special purpose vehicle that will be created to implement the project. It plans to offtake 1mn mt/yr LNG from the project and the fuel will be imported into India via the proposed FSRU terminal at Jafrabad.
