Iran, Germany to build 2000 Rail Cars

The Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) plans to build 2,000 railway wagons jointly with a German company, according to AzerNews.

IRNA News quotes IDRO executive Fardad Daliri as saying that Iran’s investment in the construction of the wagons will amount to 55 percent and they will be used in nine major cities of the country. He added:

The amount of investment needed for the construction of wagons is estimated to be 2 billion Euros which will be provided by the Fund for National Development of Iran and foreign companies.

The name of the German company has not been disclosed.
