Iran “Heartened” at Increased Crude Production

Increasing its crude oil production capacity mainly from Western Karoun joint oilfields, Iran has been heartened and reassured as far as the country’s status in OPEC is concerned.

Talking in the verge of the official opening of the three development plans of North Azadegan, Yadavaran and Yaran, Gholam-Reza Manouchehri the deputy head of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) for engineering and development affairs called the increase “heartening” for the country as in OPEC.

The official pointed out the current crude oil production rate of North Azadegan is 75’000 barrels per day and he added Yadavaran is producing 115’000 bpd and its production capacity has estimated 135’000 bpd.

Mentioning that the development plans of the two fields of North Azadegan and Yadavaran has been awarded to China’s CNPCI and Sinopec, Manouchehri stated that North Yaran field has been operational by “Persia Oil and Gas” company which is itself a subsidiary of “Farmaneh-Imam Setad” and has had a successful performance in this field so far.

    Here in zambia the government will liberalize oil to be imported into the country, I am interested to know if Iran had plan to enter this market
