Turkish Investors “Have Priority” in Iran’s Health Sector

Iran gives priority to Turkish companies when it comes to attracting foreign investment in the health sector, such as in construction of hospitals, Iran’s Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi said.

In a meeting with Iran’s embassy staff in Ankara, Qazizadeh Hashemi highlighted the abundant opportunities for foreign investors available in Iran, as in the healthcare industry as well as educational and medical fields.

Turkish investors have priority for investment and active partnership (in Iran),” the minister stated.

Building hospitals in Iran is an option for foreign investors, Qazizadeh Hashemi added, pointing to Turkey’s experience in the construction of “chain hospitals” that stimulate medical tourism, create jobs for locals, and provide modern health services for both local and foreign patients.

The Iranian minister had a stopover in Ankara to meet his Turkish counterpart on his way to Egypt for attending the 63rd session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean.
