The Chief Executive of Russia’s Lukoil has said the company is studying two projects in Iran, including a possible return to the Anaran project.
TASS news agency quotes Vagit Alekperov (pictured) as saying:
“There are two agreements and there is an area of mutual interests. We’re interested in several sites there [in Iran], though we’re currently involved in preliminary studies of the documents submitted by Iran.“
He said he hoped Tehran would announce details of new exploration contracts with the international oil companies before the end of 2016, adding that Lukoil was ready to invest billions.
