Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Amir Hossein Zamaninia has said Lithuania has expressed willingness to invest in Iran’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) projects .
Lithuania is eager to participate in Iran’s LNG projects as well as its oil sector, Zamaninia said after a meeting with the Eastern European country’s Deputy Energy Minister Aleksandras Spruogis in Tehran.
Heading a business delegation, the Lithuanian deputy energy minister arrived in Tehran to hold talks with senior Iranian officials on oil and gas cooperation.
The European country has good experience in the field of LNG, the Iranian official said, adding that Tehran will consider Lithuania’s offer.
Cooperation in the fields of shale oil and shale gas were also among other proposals put forward by Lithuania for cooperation with Iran, Shana reported.
