Saudi Arabia bans Iran’s Mahan Air

By John Lee.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has banned Iran’s Mahan Air from flying into the kingdom.

It issued the order on Monday night, due to what it called “systematic violations” of the country’s safety regulations and laws.

An official told Tasnim news agency that Iranian airlines currently have no flights to Saudi Arabia, and would use different routes to fly to Africa.
