A delegation of senior Czech businesspeople is scheduled to visit Tehran and Gilan in April for investment talks.
In a meeting with the Governor of Gilan, General Mohammad Najafi, Czech Chargé d’Affaires to Iran, Peter Stephen, said the trade delegation will visit Gilan to take part in a rail industry exhibition.
FNA reports that the delegation will also hold talks with provincial officials on investment in rail transport projects.
Stephen noted also that “Tabriz has good potential for manufacturing heavy industrial machinery and, keeping in mind the Czech Republic’s expertise in the field, we are interested in cooperation“.
He said the production of train and subway wagons is an attractive area of cooperation for Czech industrialists, and promised to arrange a gathering of Tabriz and Czech merchants and industrialists this year.
