Russia to Supply 5,000 Freight Cars to Iran

Russia’s Uralvagonzavod will supply Iran with 5,000 rail freight cars, with deliveries expected to begin before the end of this year.

According to Kommersant, Russia’s state development bank Vnesheconombank (VEB) will provide a loan of $140 million to the company to cover costs.

The cars will be developed for use by Iranian Railways, the paper reported.
