Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan made the announcement after a meeting with Iranian ambassador to Armenia, Seyed Kazem Sajjadi.
According to a report from ARKA, he added that both countries have large untapped reserves to boost their economic ties, in particular in the fields of sheep breeding and poultry farming, horticulture, drip irrigation and production of anti-hail nets.
Karapetyan suggested that both counties hold agricultural business forums to enable Armenian and Iranian businessmen to learn more about each other.
Trade between Iran and Armenia in the first 9 months of 2015 dropped by 1.4% from the year before to $202.8 million.
