Iran, Luxembourg Banking Cooperation

The governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Valiollah Seif (pictured), recently met with the visiting Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn in Tehran, and referred to Iranian bankers’ interest in bilateral cooperation:

“We are ready to collaborate with Luxembourg in various banking areas including management of reserves, gold trading, short and long-term activities in financial markets or credits.”

According to Mehr News Agency, Seif further expressed willingness for the Iranian banking community to take advantage to Luxembourg’s consulting and training services in the banking system.

Asselborn said that the exchange of banking delegations between the two countries will lead to the improvement of economic relations, and urged the two sides to cooperate more effectively by providing the grounds for Iranian and Luxembourger bankers to hold joint meetings.

    Fantastic News for the development of business between two countries.

    We are also waiting the signature of the Tax Treaty between Luxembourg and Iran in order to have the good conditions for the successful cooperation.
