Thailand Gateway for Iran Oil to ASEAN Countries

Iran’s deputy minister for international affairs and trading, Amir Hossein Zamaninia has told Shana that Thailand is ready to buy crude oil from Iran after the removal of sanctions.

Following a meeting in Tehran with Suvit Maesincee, Thai Deputy Minister of Commerce, the Minister went on to say that Thailand can become Iran’s gateway to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, adding that during the meeting opportunities for joint investments and ventures by the two countries were discussed.

An Iran-Thailand Joint Economic Commission will be held in early 2016.
