The Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received Iran’s Minister of Communications, Mr. Mahmoud Vaezi, and his accompanying delegation at his office on Wednesday.
During the meeting they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperation in the field of communications and ways to strengthen it, in addition to the general situation in Iraq and the region.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Iraq has good relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and is seeking to promote the interest of the two neighboring peoples, indicating that there are many challenges facing the region, including the risk from Daesh terrorist gangs and so it is necessary for joint coordination and cooperation to get rid of this deviant terrorist ideology.
In turn, Iran’s Minister of Communications expressed his country’s full support for Iraq in its war against terrorism and the desire of the Islamic Republic in the promotion of bilateral cooperation with Iraq in all sectors, including the telecommunications sector.
