Iran, Norway to Develop Offshore Oil Cooperation

Iran and Norway have agreed to promote cooperation in the field of offshore gas and oil projects during a meeting between CEO of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) Saeid Hafezi and Norwegian ambassador to Tehran, Aud Lise Norheim.

In the meeting which was also participated by a representative from Intsok oil and gas company, the envoy expressed hope that in the new political and international conditions, competent Norwegian companies and major investors can take part in the Iranian projects.

The IOOC’s projects have great potentials for bilateral cooperation,” she said, “Norway is ready to raise mutual ties with Iran in all areas, especially in oil and gas projects.

Hafezi introduced activities of his company and said IOOC welcomes participation of Norwegian firms in Iran’s oil industry.
