Iran will offer three gasfields to foreign investors at a conference in London in December, according to a report from Reuters.
The Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) said the gasfields on offer would be North Pars, Golshan and Ferdowsi, adding that Iran is due to unveil its new contract model at the event.
- North Pars offshore gasfield covers an area of 25 square km and holds 57.1 trillion cubic metres of sour gas;
- Golshan gasfield is located south of Iran and is expected to produce 2 billion cubic feet of gas once it is fully developed;
- Ferdowsi is also an offshore gasfield.
Iran’s new ‘integrated petroleum contract (IPC)’ is said to offer longer terms and more liberal conditions.
